From that moment on, I wanted to do more. I decided to start my own foundation in hopes of joining the noble work & efforts of these generous Moroccans & our friends from allover the world. What encourages me even more is that one night I came home from work, I was reading this interesting thread on MoroccoUSA.com’s Forum which caught my attention. I kept monitoring this thread with great interests to see if anybody will respond to it. A week later, still nobody has responded. This person was asking for help to send some goods to Morocco. A week later, the same person posted the same thread and he was begging for help. The next day, I sent him an email suggesting if we should start a Foundation. Mr. Jamal Ali Hoballah was thrilled about this great news. We joined forces and we have carried on our mission despite the challenges we faced. Today, I made another commitment to put more emphasis on education. Why? Two reasons:

• The thought was, if somehow I am unable to contribute to my community financially, there should be no excuses not to share with others my own resources and the knowledge we have mastered all these years. I read this quote somewhere which has been planted in my head since “Happiness comes when your word & your work are of benefit to yourself and others”. I paused for few seconds to digest this quote, it made a perfect sense. This quote has become part of my daily routine indeed.

  The main objective is to do something and lead by example and with LOVE! We really shouldn’t dwell too much about Money, Money does help in some areas, but if each one of us can start contributing his/her time, sharing with others the knowledge that he/she knows; in turn, we as a community could accomplish our highest potential. All it takes is to start injecting unconditional Love within our community in hopes of building bridges of trust, I am certain that others including Moroccan Corporations & even the Moroccan Government will start contributing to your great cause in many ways. But first, we ought to start within.

• As you know, knowledge drives our global economy and today our children must develop key 21st century skills. Familiarity with information and communication technology, problem solving and critical thinking skills and collaboration will enable them to function in, and shape, the world ahead. Education is one of the keys to personal development and one of the means by which we can increase our earning power, become better citizens, and better parents.

In doing so, your gift helps people reach their goals and realize their aspirations. You help make lifetimes with more opportunities possible. All of our programs are designed to help the needy people back home in Morocco. We support developing new skills and abilities because additional opportunities are possible every time a new skill is mastered.
